From Millan.Net

This week we honored, appreciated and thought about those who are and have served in our Military!!  Many of us at Stamp TV have families who have and/or still are serving and so the appreciation and remembrances are dear to our hearts!

The challenge this week is to use the colors  RED, WHITE, and BLUE!!!!

It does not have to be a patriotic design....but it can be!  Whatever you are inspired to make by using this color combination!!!!

Now.....I made a card for a wonderful young woman who's like a daughter to me....we call her our 2nd daughter and she calls me her 2nd mom!  She served and recently finished her tour but didn't re-enlist due to many health issues.  I wanted to make her a special thank you card.  So I used the red, white and blue colors but with a feminine image!  And of course some sparkle!!!!  I used the Wink of Stella glitter marker that Gina will be carrying in the store soon!!  I love the shimmer on the white petals with it!!!  There is a learning curve and since I refuse to read instructions before diving into something new I had to learn it a bit of the hard way!  LOL  It can pool up fairly big if you squeeze too hard!  But I love the glitz it leaves!!

Now....this is also a HUGE sneak peek for tomorrow's new Stamp TV Kit release!!!!!!  So make sure you head over to Stamp TV tomorrow (Thursday) to see the details of the kit....the stamps, sentiments, cardstock, papers, embellishments and the title!!!  I'm not giving any of that info away!  Hahahaha!!!

Now the challenge deets:
  • Please create a new card/project for each challenge.
  • You may use any vendors/products.
  • The host/hostess will choose 3 winners.
  • All 3 cards will be pinned to our Mod Squad Challenge Blog Pinterest Board (follow the link on the right column) and when there is a craft prize the host/hostess will choose one from among those 3 winning cards. The winners will be announced in a separate post that will go up on Tuesdays before the next challenge post goes up. Any winners of craft prizes have 1 week to respond to claim the prize. Prizes that are unclaimed will be offered again on another challenge.
  • Our challenges may be combined with up to 4 other challenges, so to be eligible for any prizes and Pinning you can have a total of 5 challenges you've entered. We rely on the honor system so please be honest.
  • The Mod Squad challenges are open until the following Monday night so we have time to choose and post winners.
  • Winners will be chosen from among the entries submitted in time.
Please link up your challenge entry using the linky at the end of the post and make sure you include the link to this challenge somewhere in your card description.

The PRIZE.....well let's do a gift bag from my craft room (seriously I have a TON of shhhtufffs!) in reds, whites, blues!!!  Some dp, ribbon, embellies...I even have a mystery stamp set (to you!) that I'll include!

Hello there Stampers,
Nancy here and I am thrilled to be Guest hosting this week here at Mod Squad!
I have been waiting so very patiently for this day to come! Well sort of patient. LOL

Earlier last month when I found out that I would be Hosting,
I knew right away that I wanted to do a Sketch Challenge.

Who doesn't love starting their card with the hard part
already done for you?  I sure do!

So, here is the Sketch Graphic we will be using this week!
I tried to keep it rather basic and not to daunting!

Feel free to change the shapes of the squares and use any shape
of your choice.  Just make sure that the sketch is still recognizable.

For my card as you will see below,  I decided it would be fun to cut out the
square panels to add some interest.  That is NOT a requirement in my challenge,
I want you to get loose and just have fun with it!

Here is my card:

Card Details:
Base Cardstock: Gina K
Stamps: Gina K- A Little Something
Sentiment: Gina K- Fleur di lis
Water Colored pencils
Acc: Pop dots
Tools: Fiskars Cutter-Victorian Blade, Square Scallop Nesties

Above I have linked up both stamp sets for you!

Now for the fine print:

Oh my gee, what a LOT of creative card makers out there!!! Hope you had fun making triple stamping works of art!!! Everyone did an AWESOME job!! I was amazed at all the different ideas you all came up with. It's so hard to pick a winner - but do it I must.

First though, here's some of the cards I really liked:

This beautiful card by Lisa (lovinpaper) has so many great colors, and I loved that she used the stamping off technique.

The thing I liked about Barb Campbell's card was that she used a black background and stamped and heat embossed the image - very striking.

Kathy Krug made this stunning card. I love that she went outside the box and used a background stamp for the triple stamp technique.

And Sylvia Rivera used beautiful soft colors to do some distress sponging along with the stamped image. Her use of a white Sakura pen really made those flowers pop.

And the WINNER is: Kathy Krug!!!
I thought she used a lot of ingenuity and creativity. And I love how she popped those little flowers up on the vines. Well done, Kathy! Send me your address through my e-mail - judywoodland@yahoo.com - and I'll get your goodie box off to you.

Thanks so much for playing along with me this week. Hope you had some fun. This is a great technique, and my wish is that you will use it again to make other wonderful creations.

Make sure to watch our Pinterest Board for the winners and other entries from our challenges. One of your cards may end up there!

The new challenge will be up tomorrow. Thanks again.

Hey Fun Seekers~ it's Judy here, bringing you another fun challenge for this week. I'm so happy to be hosting, hope you like what I have for you.
This week I challenge you to do some triple-time stamping. That doesn't mean to stamp 3 times though, this is a technique that has 3 layers, but one stamped background. I have been doing this technique for a couple of years, and recently Gina from StampTV did a video on it.You can see her video HERE. Gina did two layers for her card, I always do three. But if you want to do only 2, that's fine.

I have a couple of cards for you that use this technique.

This first one has kind of an abstract look.I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets Lots of Letters 2, and Pretty Patterns, both by Melanie Muenchinger, for the background. The greeting is the Gina K Designs My Most Favorite stamp set duo, and I layered it on top of the last panel with some foam tape. Those shapes and patterns are really fun to use for this technique. Papers are Gina K Designs Pure Luxury Turquoise Sea, Sweet Mango, and White, and I used Gina K Designs Turquoise Sea, Sweet Mango, and Bubblegum Pink inks to stamp the images. Then I just added a couple of stacked buttons tied together with baker's twine, and some orange Judy Dots.

My next card has a more feminine look:

Here I used Gina K Designs Pure Luxury White and Wild Dandelion card stocks. The images are stamped with Gina K Designs Sweet Corn, and Memento Pear Tart and Tangelo inks. The stamps I used are from the Gina K Designs set Pressed Flowers by Melanie Muenchinger, Simple Flowers by Tami Mayberry, and Flowers Bloom by Rupa Shevde.  The greeting is from Flowers Bloom  as well. I used a die set from Papertrey Ink called Bloom Builders #3 for the flower, cutting it out in white and sponging it with the Sweet Corn ink. The leaves are done with a Martha Stewart punch, and I added some Judy Dots studded with little pearls.

Now for the fine print:

And Here's the Prize

A box of goodies for one lucky winner. Some stuff I have been collecting, like great patterned papers, and sundries that every card maker can't get enough of.
I think you'll like what I have for you.

So go forth and CREATE!!!
I cannot WAIT to see what wonderful works of art you will come up with!

Hi everyone! It's me, Karen. I'm so excited to be hosting this weeks Mod Squad Challenge. I had to really think of a good challenge for ya'll, because there is a awesome prize this week. I was really inspired at the release party and blog hop over at Stamp Tv. There was a card that was stamped with masculine images but was so feminine, and that was my inspiration. Judy Woodland created a card using the new Out West 2 stamp set by Theresa Momber. Here is the link to that card.
http://stamptv.ning.com/photo/desert-sunset?context=user  .When you look at the set there are cactus and cowboys, barbed wire and such. Masculine. But Judy created a scene that was feminine . Here is the link to Judy's card

So this week the Challenge is to use a image that you would usually use for a masculine card, but make it a feminine card.
This is the one I created!

I used Gina K Designs pure luxury card stock in Kraft,  Innocent Pink & White. The image is from Gina K Designs,  Country Roads - illustrated by Theresa Momber
I used Gina K Designs ink - Navy & Innocent Pink ribbon. Momentos Black ink and copics to color. Added some pink bling from my stash.

*********

For the second card I had fun using the set  Follow Your Dreams by Theresa Momber.  I used Gina K Designs Pure Luxury Warm Cocoa, Black Onyx, & White (Layering weight) card stock. Layered the focal image on some DP from my stash. I also used Gina K Designs Inks in Innocent Pink, Ocean Mist, Sweet Corn, Sweet Mango, Warm Cocoa, & Black.  Added some Innocent Pink ribbon, and enamel dots from the stash along with a little glitter pen for some sparkle. Copics to color the boat and water.

Hope you all get a chance to play.

* Remember Masculine Image made into a Feminine card.*

Hey y'all!!! What gorgeous cards you created for this challenge...and I do agree with lots of you that said a one layer card is harder than one with like 5!! LOL! But they are fun to do, trying to do eye catching stuffs since its only ONE layer to look at is truly challenging, but well worth the end results, IMO!

Ok, here are a few that caught my eye:

Katlyn's card just jumped out at me! I LOVE that doodled frame around it, and the little sequins are a perfect touch!!

Verna'scard on the kraft cardstock, her coloring and the splattering of the ink just totally rocks!

And last but not the least...the WINNER of this challenge, Heidi! LOVE how she created the bg for those flowers by using an acrylic block with ink on it! Tis Gorgeous!!!

Congrats to you Heidi!! I will need your snail mail address to send you the prize package out to you! You can email me at ctidwell@allegiance.tv.
Cant wait to see what you make with THOSE goodies too!! :D

Thanks again to all of you that played along! We will have a new challenge up tomorrow!!
