Hi Kathy Krug here. I am so excited to be the hostess for this week's Mod Squad Challenge.  This week  One Happy Cuts  is offering a $15 gift certificate for one lucky, randomly picked winner.  Let's make it easy.

Challenge
The challenge this week is:
Anything Goes with at least one die cut

This Weeks Sponsor is

 Prize

My Card

I started with a wood grained background topped with a beautiful frame from Spellbinders. It has so much detail and is both embossed and debossed. I embossed the center of frame with a brick embossing folder and used a die cut from Sue Wilson to frame the sentiment.  I made the little hydrangea flowers from a Spellbinder’s die and surrounded them with a variety of greenery dies. I placed a Cheery Lynn butterfly on the corner.

WOW, it sure has been busy here this month! As you probably know the host tries to comment on all the cards (except Flickr). BUT this week I am hosting (Joyce) and it is an easy challenge...I probably won't be commenting this week. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas celebration with your loved ones.

My Card
I needed a sympathy card in a hurry. I hate sympathy cards especially when needed at the holidays! I found this digi (Church Sympathy) and it comes in a stamp set as well. There is a great set that is stamps only of sentiments called Sympathy - Stamp Set 579.

I added a bit of Wink Of Stella around the frame. I cut cut out an extra flower and popped up the center and filled with Prills. Added a bit of ribbon and done!

Hello, Judy Woodland here, and welcome to a new Mod Squad Challenge. I know most of us are really tired of making Christmas themed anything. So my challenge to you this week is to make anything but a Christmas card. You're welcome!!!!

This week our sponsor is the wonderful stamp company Kitchen Sink Stamps.

Kitchen Sink Stamps offers us a discount. CODE: ModSquad15.

These stamps are amazing. Most have a multi-stamp feature that lets you get great detail in your images using several colors. There is real dimension with a 3-D effect! And one of the best features of this stamp company is that there are color recipes for most of the multi-step stamps, so you don't have to guess what colors to use. There are even alternative colors if you don't have the inks that are suggested. Maria from Kitchen Sink Stamps is a member of our Mod Squad Challenge Facebook Group so feel free to say Hi or ask any questions.

THE PRIZE
$25 GIFT CERTIFICATE to the store.
You can pick your own goodies and there are lots of choices!

Here is a sample for you:

I used the stamp set from Kitchen Sink called Multi-Step Pine Trees. This is just a lovely set, with 3 different size trees. The dimension on the final image is amazing. And here's a tip I learned from Frenchie Martin. Take a dark brown marker and color in the trunk of the tree here and there, as I have done here. It makes the trees so much more real. On this card I stamped the largest image using all 4 stamps on a piece of white card. Then I masked the tree and sponged in the sun using a circle mask. After I was done sponging I took the 2nd step stamp for the medium sized tree and only stamped with that. I love the delicate image you get with just the one stamp. Then I stamped the greeting with the Kitchen Sink 3-Step Baseball Stamp Set on vellum and white heat embossed it.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White, Dusty Rose and Wild Dandelion Card Stock
KSS 3-Step Base Ball Stamp for Greeting
GKD Inks In:
*Grass Green
*Fresh Asparagus
*Lemon Drop
*Peach Bellini
*Dusty Rose
*Cranberry Tart
Memento New Sprout Ink
SSS Olive Ink
GKD White Embossing Powder
Stash Vellum
Judy Dots

My Cards (Joyce's blog)

All the cards are done basically the same. The doves background is a stencil with texture paste then glitter added to it (and all over me), layered on a pale green glitter stock and vellum sentiment embossed in silver. For the stars I stamped in white pigment ink and colored using a Fantastix stick (a coloring tool) and the same white ink. The little embellies are the stare and dove stamped on shrink plastic! It shrunk much more then expected! Stamps used were Celtic Dove Set  & Celtic Star 4

Our Second Sponsor is Sunny Studio Stamps

There are some really nice stamps and dies here so be sure to check them out! If you use a Sunny Studio stamp you will get a bonus entry Just add MSC in front of the link name. DISCOUNT  CODE: "ModSquad" and it is good through 12/20/2015.
